upgrade from FlySky AFHDS to FlySky AFHDS 2A for turnigy tx module

Hi guy i have an old turnigy 9x with 9x module in jr format seem to use FlySky AFHDS protocol.

I dont use it anymore i would like to know if it can be use like the dsm module for multiprotocol project or just for upgrade it to FlySky AFHDS 2A protocol version and how ( looking for FW )

because i have a drone using 2a protocol i would like to bind with it.

What is the "hardware MCU and RF" used for FlySky AFHDS ? is it the same for FlySky AFHDS 2A ?

I also have a DSM orange module but look like it can not handle FlySky AFHDS 2A with the multiprotocol FW from what i have read here.
