Formatting of search results?

I'm trying to use caddy (0.9.4) to provide a full text search for a hugo generated site. I've got the search plugin working with my pages but the result formatting does not seem to work.
When searching for "test" for example I get results like this :

You can <mark>test</mark> whether it works by running</p>

E.g html tags, and the mark tag.
I could not figure out whether this is a caddy issue or an issue of the plugin. The documentation is talking about a template that can be specified for formatting, but I couldn't get this to work.

Any hints?

Ok, found it, it is basically the same as issue #13 .
