The stylint task always passes with GrumPHP, even when calling stylint directly fails

I'm using GrumPHP v1.5.1 with PHP v8.0 in a ddev container (I can't update GrumPHP yet due to Drupal requiring symfony/yaml v4.4.34). The eslint, phpcs, etc. tasks work fine, but stylint always passes files, even when the same files fail when running stylint directly.

I tried with and without the whitelist_patterns config. The file being committed is being tested directly using:

Hello @cameronprince

Can you provide some additional info?

• You can run grumphp with the -vvv flag. This will give you the command that is being executed. (maybe best to create a grumphp file with only phpmd). You can manually run this command to see what the status code and output of this command is.
• Can you check if the exectued command contains the correct whitelist patterns and that they don't interfere with other stylelint config?

Would it be possible to provide a repository that produces the isolated issue without the other tasks?
