Just so I understand this correctly, I have a skyloong variant of the gk6x and modified the base layer and the first layer.
The first layer works as expected, however, the changes to the base layer don't seem to be permanent. Whenever I disconnect the keyboard or restart the PC, the base layer reverts back to it's factory settings but the first layer changes are still there.
Is this to be expected?

That's strange, on the official software they don't support mapping of the base layer so it might be the case that some firmware doesn't properly support mapping of the base layer as they never exposed it properly to their software.

But yes, it should save the base layer if it's functioning as expected. There is something they call the "driver" layer which is only active while the keyboard is connected, but the base layer should save permanently.

Thanks for your quick response!
I did a desperate attempt since I've noticed that
[Base,Layer2,Layer3,FnLayer2,FnLayer3] Menu:TempSwitchLayer1
was working after reconnecting the keyboard.
So I changed
[Base] RShift:PageUp
to
[Base,Layer2,Layer3,FnLayer2,FnLayer3] RShift:PageUp

Now it appears to be permanent even after reconnecting the keyboard. Still strange, but enough for me ^^
