Code editor does not highlight matching parentheses. This makes editing formulas containing many of them very tedious.

Ah that would be nice. We're using CodeMirror for the code editor, and it looks like they have an addon for backet matching! https://codemirror.net/doc/manual.html#addon_matchbrackets

We should look into how users can customize the code editor so that they can enable certain addons as they wish.
