Slightly Knotty Metadata Issue: Bib 8544537 -- Pull Two Sets of Figgy Files Together? #118
Comments
Hey David, in the original ShotList the nine volumes and the supplement have different dcl numbers (as do the records you linked I just checked). Also the Ceremonies has another edition of volumes 1 and 2 in the Cicognara collection that were not listed in the printed Catalogo. Which is something that happens sometime so we need to keep in mind that we will have different 'sets' of volumes linked to one Catalogo entry on the website (maybe we will have to have an in-between page for these to go step for step smaller from Catalogo overview to specific Catalogo entry subpage to individual edition sets pages). Anyhow for this one we have:
I will have to look some more if the Supplement was considered part of the nine volume edition but with the other edition we already have the same problem that we need to display different editions sets amongst one Catalogo entry. Cheers!

also, as a mayor mess-up from Heidelberg and/or me we had the whole nine volumes set as 'not fiched' in the master file - will need to check why it wasn't in the Heidelberg cataloging system. (nope, all good in the Heidelberg records - must have been a mess-up from me or someone early on. don't think it should impact anything but my cleaning up.) |
Hi folks,
Nine volumes (8 in 9) of this are here https://figgy.princeton.edu/catalog/f6fad925-5f62-4ddb-965f-f3582f55b774
BUT it is also "Supplemented by: Superstitions anciennes et modernes (Amsterdam: J.F. Bernard, 1733-1736; 2 v.)." these two additional volumes appear here: https://figgy.princeton.edu/catalog/0b6927fc-8021-4682-9fe1-351e5903c416
Both Figgy records are linked by this Bib: https://catalog.princeton.edu/catalog/8544537
But it looks like there's a separate Bib Record here:
https://catalog.princeton.edu/catalog/8542933
Can someone take a closer look at this and recommend a way forward?
Thanks! :-)
