Since we have joint dependencies on this package throughout pyiron, it would be nice to guarantee enough stability here that our downstream packages can relax their pins here so one package can leverage new functionality without other packages blocking the update.

Since this packages is relatively small and relatively straightforward, @pmrv and I agree it should be possible to full-release this despite the fact it's fairly young. @jan-janssen consented, and he and I will figure out how to relax downstream pins to a major version for this particular package.
