It would be possible to modify the plugin so that:

  1. the existing functionality remains,

and new options have been added:

  1. displayed only the page summary and the rest after entering the password,

  2. displayed everything except the text between the [passwordprotection]...[/passwordprotection] tags, which would be available only after entering the password.

I think this is a great idea. I will take a look on it, but it will take some time.
