Github logos different size

When a software has a github logo on the page for both the repo and package manager, the logos have a different size:

Also, the top one changes color on mouse over, the bottom one doesn't.

I just had a look at this issue. We can make logo having same dimension, height, width or both. Currently I am thinking to set height to 3rem and width to "auto". However depending on the logo's this also might look like the logos are not of the same size (see example below).

Any suggestions?
