def parse(self, signature, completion):
fields = json_repair.loads(completion)
fields = {k: v for k, v in fields.items() if k in signature.output_fields}

This treats the loaded JSON object as a dict, when it could be a list or an empty string. An error should be thrown if the value is not a dict.
