<h3>Arthavida Intermediary - Credit Research and Development Executive; Galle</h3>
<p><strong>April 2022 - February 2023</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Credit risk transformation and operational restructuring for the loan book of tea smallholders in Galle district.</li>
<li>Performed in-depth analysis of non-performing loans (NPLs) and identified inefficiencies of credit underwriting function as a risk management tool; implementation of the approach of net cash flows from operating activities decreased monthly NPLs by 15% resulting in 1.5 million rupees in net debt recovery.</li>
<li>Foreign exchange risk analytics and identified hidden risk factors associated with the loan book of minor export crops.</li>
<li>Uncovered an association between foreign exchange rate movements and net operating income of minor exporters and identified the impact of foreign exchange risk exposure on the ability of debt repayment of minor exporters. Enhanced borrowers' debt repayment ability by 12% while improving the net interest margin by 2% through the proposed foreign exchange risk framework.</li>

<h3>S.N. Micro Credit - Micro Credit Analyst Associate; Galle</h3>
<p><strong>April 2021 - April 2022</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborated with the management to implement a credit product for women entrepreneurs in Galle district.</li>
<li>Developed and implemented a women entrepreneur financing product with the partnership of women societies in selected villages to improve the access to credit of unbanked female masses. Loan disbursement ratio was 32% in the first quarter and 56% in the second quarter as a percentage of allocated fund.</li>
<li>Reviewed the loan book of micro lease holders to identify the seasonality factors behind debt repayment.</li>
<li>Proposed a debt securitization strategy to improve the asset liquidity of company by 10% according to instructions given by the management. Conducted a research study to identify the seasonal factors behind the debt repayment behavior of micro lease holders. Increased debt recovery rate by 13% through a training program for recovery officers to track seasonal factors of borrowers.</li>

<h3>People’s Merchant Finance - Trainee Credit Officer; Colombo</h3>
<p><strong>October 2020 - March 2021</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Developed a credit product for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs.</li>
<li>Analyzed selected economic sectors to disburse affordable financial facilities for entrepreneurs capable of earning lucrative profits by utilizing their entrepreneurial skills. Over 2 billion rupees allocated for this financing scheme, expected to achieve a 5% CAGR of loan disbursement throughout a 5-year time period.</li>
<li>Drafted three target markets (small and medium-sized; minor export crops, green tourism, and rubber production) with assistance from regional chambers of commerce, export development board, and industrial development board and conducted a time series forecast to ensure a 3% annual growth rate.</li>
<li>Conducted an in-depth analysis of the factors causing a 20% rate of net annual non-performing advances (higher than industry threshold) in collaboration with the credit department. Made recommendations to the underwriting and recovery departments, resulting in a decline in monthly non-performing advances by 25%.</li>
