  • Debug Log:

  • Configuration File:

    • Reproduced with default config
  • Description:

    • swaymsg "output * adaptive_sync on"
    • swaymsg -t get_outputs still shows Adaptive sync: disabled
  • Hardware

    • Laptop Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5 14AHP9
    • GPU: AMD Radeon 780M
    • Screen: edid-decode

From the EDID it doesn't seem like your monitor supports adaptive sync.

Thank you for the heads up, I wasn't sure what to look for in the EDID.
Shouldn't there be a log about that thought? Maybe I missed it

I thought it had it as I have some VRR issues (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/3388 ), but that might just be related to PSR?
Those issues are, since very recently, much more noticeable in sddm login screen than in sway, that's why I thought there was something disabled in sway config
