I'm sick of having headphones in and having to miss notifications because if i have my sound on it comes out of my speakers and bothers people around.

I want notifications to play through connected speakers/headphones they are plugged in, but NOT through my external speakers.

Can this be implemented?

are you using voodoo sound? If so, you need to enable it through the app. I believe you need need to disable "don't disturb headphones" or something like that.

There are no such options in voodoo sound that do what I'm looking for

I think this has something to do with another issue being looked at. It can be found here. #22
I say this because if the sound is not being routed fully to the headset jack notifications will sneak past and out the phones speakers.

I saw the same with Pandora.

I connect the phone via aux in cable to the car. When I stop the engine a faint music is being played through the phone speaker

I'm also able to reproduce this behavior.

Thanks for the reports. Looking into it ;)

EDIT:
Oops, I just noticed a duplicate here. ovacikar is talking about issue #22

I'm not sure if the issue that nickcu13 is describing is related to #22 as well.

If this is true, then this issue needs to be closed as duplicate.

I think the issues are related but are not necessarily the same thing. #22 I think is talking about how all the sound going through the headset or what have you also comes out of the phone's speaker very softly.
