Before proceeding, check to make sure there isn’t an existing issue for your suggestion or a similar one.

  • I have searched the existing issues and determined this is new suggestion.

Idea being proposed

In the community-showcase.md file, fix the spelling of "institutions" for the CVA publication in the Quire Community Showcase.

The change can be made in the projects.yml file in the data folder. CVA appears on line 152.

What contribution category does your proposal fall under?

Hi @vyn2000 happy to help!

  • The first step is to read through our Contributing Guidelines.
  • Once you have forked and cloned the quire-docs repository (https://github.com/thegetty/quire-docs), open the project in your text editor and find the data folder.
  • Open the markdown file called projects.yml.
  • If you scroll down to line 163, it would actually be most helpful if you could replace all the text that follows note: with the following:

This publication marks the first-ever born digital, open-access version of the century-old reference series. It uses a version of the default Quire theme that was modified to match the print format CVA volumes have followed since the series was started over a century ago. Hopefully other institutions might use it down the road for their own CVA volumes.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Hello @vyn2000. As we had not heard back from you, Quire user @materiajournal took a shot at this issue with PR #487. We welcome you to comeback and work on another issue in the future. All contributions are greatly appreciated.

Hi @materiajournal. Thank you for correcting the typo. It would actually be great if all the text could be replaced for that entry.

  • Open the projects.yml.

  • If you scroll down to line 163, it would actually be most helpful if you could replace all the text that follows note: with:

"This publication marks the first-ever born digital, open-access version of the century-old reference series. It uses a version of the default Quire theme that was modified to match the print format CVA volumes have followed since the series was started over a century ago. Hopefully other institutions might use it down the road for their own CVA volumes."

Thank you!!
