Is Your Feature Request Related to a Problem?

Sometimes I accidentally leave a thread and want to quickly come back to my exact position in the thread but its not possible

Feature Description

It would be great to have the feature we had on Apollo where we could swipe left to come back to our exact position in the previous thread we had open. Swiping right would leave the thread and go to the feed screen basically working how a Back and Forward button works on web browsers

here's a screen recording of Apollo with the feature

Keep in mind that any new swipe gestures would interfere with the post gestures, so you'd have to turn those off (similar to how you have to turn off left-to-right swipe gestures on comments if you want that gesture to navigate backwards).

It's not your exact request, but I am working on an implementation that preserves your place in the comments. You'd have to click on the exact post again but you wouldn't lose your spot.

Will it be an option to use it for swiping if the current ones are disabled?

We can keep this issue open for that request!
