AUTO-PASTE not working in Chrome (Linux / Fedora / KDE Plasma)

I can't get Emote to Auto-Paste in Chrome. I've tested address bar, text areas, text boxes, search field, everything I can think of. The selected emoji is still on the clipboard and can be pasted, so not terribly inconvenient, but would be nice with consistent behavior. Incidentally, tested and working:
- System Settings
- Obsidian
- Konsole (I changed the Konsole Paste shortcut to CTRL+V)
- Telegram
- Caprine
- Sublime Text
- Dolphin

System: Fedora 39 / KDE Plasma 5.27.8 / X11
