Multiple accounts...

Hi,

Would it be possible to allow the use of 2 or more sip accounts?
For example: allow one outgoing sip account and one incoming sip account.

At the moment I'm not sure if this would be worthy change.

Personally I probably wouldn't use it. For my purposes running multiple softphone copies (portable, separated) is more convenient. I do have one copy for regular calls, with some distinct visual settings like custom tray icon, using "hardware" USB desk phone and up to two dozen copies for testing purposes that might be running different fuzzing scripts at the same time.

While adding support for multiple account is not complicated per se and there are some bits of it already in source code, it would be a big set of changes that would start many questions (like: would separate audio devices selection for each account be needed?) and it would likely break few things that I won't catch myself.

Last time anyone asked for this feature was probably in 2021. Let's leave this issue open for a while and see if anyone else would still be willing to use/test it.

Well, right now to workaround one account supported only i am just running different copies of tsip. So in my folder there is a few copies something like:
tsip_mobile_num1
tsip_mobile_num2
tsip_voipprovider
tsip_testpbx
tsip_directcall

As downside i am not clearly understand how can i use my gigaset speakerphone with all this copies simultaneously.

So not really a big deal, but if there is some poll, add me as a plus to this feature.
I have a gigaset ip phone and multiple accounts is a useful feature from my perspective.
