After installing PairAI on Arch Linux, I encountered a critical issue where my existing VS Code profiles (stored remotely via GitHub) were completely wiped. During the setup process, I imported these profiles into PairAI, and the import completed successfully with some minor visual discrepancies (e.g., incorrect layout and theme). After making adjustments, I reloaded the window (F1 > Reload Window), but upon reload, it was as though the application had no cache or memory of my previous actions. I was prompted to log in again, and after completing the login process, I was met with only a single, default profile. Shortly after, my original VS Code profiles were also wiped from the cloud.
How to reproduce
Download and extract the gzip package from PairAI's website.
Run the installer script provided and complete the interactive installation process.
During setup, agree to import existing VS Code extensions and profiles.
Wait for the import process to finish.
Notice discrepancies such as layout and theme inconsistencies.
Fix any visual settings and reload the window (F1 > Reload Window).
After the reload, notice that there is no history of your previous session, and you are prompted to log in again.
After logging in again, observe that only a single, default profile is available.
Open VS Code and observe that the remote profiles are wiped from the cloud.
Expected behavior
I expected:
Profiles to remain intact after the reload process in PairAI.
The application to remember the imported profiles and my login session after a window reload.
No interference with my existing VS Code remote profiles stored in the cloud.
A safe and isolated import process that does not modify or delete original profiles stored remotely.

Additional information
Version of the extension impacted: The latest version downloaded as of today.
OS: Arch Linux.
Other context:
I rely heavily on multiple VS Code profiles as an integration developer, and the profiles are critical to my workflow.
While reviewing the installer and setup process, I was impressed by the attention to detail and design. However, this bug resulted in a significant loss of time and productivity.
The profiles appeared intact immediately after the import process but were lost after reloading the application window.
Unfortunately, I cannot provide logs as I deleted the application and all its traces from my system after encountering the issue.
I do apologize for my initial reaction to this situation. I now realize that I was acting out of frustration, and I regret the tone I used in my initial comments. I appreciate the effort your team has put into this tool and the openness of your project, and I hope my feedback can help improve it further.
Thank you for your understanding, and I’m happy to provide any additional information if needed.
