Parsers Exercise 1

1. Using the following 'show interface status' output:

Port      Name  Status       Vlan  Duplex Speed Type
Gi0/1/0         notconnect   1     auto   auto  10/100/1000BaseTX
Gi0/1/1         notconnect   1     auto   auto  10/100/1000BaseTX
Gi0/1/2         notconnect   1     auto   auto  10/100/1000BaseTX
Gi0/1/3         notconnect   1     auto   auto  10/100/1000BaseTX

Create a TextFSM template that extracts only the 'Port' column (i.e. the interface name). The output of the FSM table should look as follows:

$ textfsm.py exercise1.tpl ex1_show_int_status.txt
...
FSM Table:
['PORT_NAME']
['Gi0/1/0']
['Gi0/1/1']
['Gi0/1/2']
['Gi0/1/3']

Note: textfsm.py should be on your PATH so you can call it as shown in the example above.
