Legion go wifi 6e signal unstable #1437
Comments
I have exactly the same problem. If i understand the journalctl logs correctly there is a video decode unit queue overflow that causes this. I tried all different Video codecs. Hardware decoding is enabled. Sep 28 11:50:58 bazzite.fritz.box flatpak[12486]: 00:13:16 - SDL Info (0): Invalidate reference frame request sent (92012 to 92012) |
Hi, @tonixwang1997. I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the bazzite team manage their backlog. I'm marking this issue as stale. Issue Summary:

Thank you for your understanding and contribution! |
I am also experiencing this issue in two different wireless networks. Let me know if I should perform any additional diagnosis. |
I'm also having this issue, no other device has a problem with Game streaming, only my Legion Go, has been this way for sometime now. Before the LeGo, I was running a Steam Deck and had no issue. I'm also running only 5Ghz Wifi 6, its a dedicated Unifi AP6 just for game streaming, and only has the Legion Go connected to it, this AP was Streaming without issue PCVR to a Quest 2 headset, so bandwidth and latency should not be an issue. I have triad every setting in Unifi but nothing works, latency tests out at 1.2 to 1.7ms from AP to Legion Go. Software is the latest version of Sunshine and Moonlight. Have also tested the AP with a Pixel 8 Pro and and an iPhone 12 Pro streaming the same games on the same AP, and no issues, so defiantly something weird going on with the Legion Go. |
Tested using Steam remote play instead, and I did not have an issue, so could very well be a video decode bug as mentioned earlier in this thread, I will see if there is any difference with H264 VS H265 in both Sun/Moonshine and Steam Remote Play. I don't believe this is a bug with WiFi, at all times, my Unifi console has reported excellent connection to my LeGo. |
Its propably the same issue as described here: #1735 |
Thanks for the info, I'll give it shot tonight, and see how it performs. |
Describe the bug
My legion go with Bazzite doesn't have the best wifi 6e signal comparing to win11. The download speed will have a huge drop once in a while. And when streaming games from my pc using Moonlight+Sunshine, it will start to have long stutters followed by a fail out every 3~5mins. I am able to reconnect with butter smooth streaming imediately so it's not that the wifi was disconencted, but just the signal was so unstable.
My wifi 6e mesh system consist 3 deco xe75 pro. I first think it might because the signal is jumping between different mesh nodes so I tried turning off mesh function but it didn't help. I also tried turning off the enable wifi power management but it didn't help neither.
What did you expect to happen?
smooth remote streaming through wifi6e from Moonlight+Sunshine
Output of
rpm-ostree status
