👋 Hello @jzurdo, thank you for raising an issue about Ultralytics HUB 🚀! It looks like you're encountering an issue while trying to train your model. If this is a 🐛 Bug Report, please ensure you provide the following details to help us investigate further:

  • Clear steps to reproduce the issue
  • Screenshots or error messages, if not already provided
  • A minimum reproducible example (MRE), including any specific configurations or parameters you're using

If this is a ❓ Question, please share as much information as possible, including details about your dataset, model, and environment setup, so we can assist you more efficiently.

This is an automated response to acknowledge your inquiry. An Ultralytics engineer will review and respond to your issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience! 😊

Hi @jzurdo,

Thank you for providing the Model ID. We'll look into this specific case for you.

Regarding your concern about image size potentially causing the issue, large images can indeed affect the training process, particularly if they surpass the supported limits or cause memory issues. To address this:

  1. Check Image Dimensions: Ensure the image dimensions are reasonable (e.g., 640x640 or similar). Extremely large images might need resizing before uploading.
  2. Dataset Validation: Use the Ultralytics HUB dataset validation feature to confirm that your dataset is correctly formatted and contains no corrupt files.
  3. Supported Formats: Verify that all your images are in supported formats (e.g., JPG, PNG) and that annotations align with the dataset format specified during upload.
  4. Cloud Training Resources: If you are using cloud training, confirm that your selected instance type has sufficient resources for your dataset.

If you're still encountering the same error after verifying the above, please let us know, and we will investigate further. In the meantime, you can try resizing your images and re-uploading the dataset to see if that resolves the issue.

Looking forward to your feedback! Let us know if we can assist further. 🚀

I'm experiencing the same issue. Since this issue was not updated, I assume the problem persists?

Hi @kneeshemoorah,

Thank you for sharing your experience. The issue was reported earlier, and our team has been actively working on identifying and resolving it. To ensure the problem persists on your end, I recommend the following steps:

  1. Check Your Dataset: Confirm that your dataset meets the Ultralytics HUB dataset requirements. Ensure that:

    • Images are in supported formats (e.g., JPG, PNG).
    • Annotations are correctly formatted and align with the dataset YAML file.
    • The dataset ZIP structure is correct (e.g., dataset_name.yaml is inside the dataset root directory).
  2. Image Size: Verify that your images are not excessively large. If they are, consider resizing them to a manageable resolution (e.g., 640x640) before uploading.

  3. Retry Training: If the above conditions are met, attempt to train the model again. If the error persists, please share:

    • The Model ID (found in the URL when selecting the model).
    • Any additional details or screenshots of the error.
  4. Ensure Latest Updates: Verify that you're using the latest version of Ultralytics HUB, as updates may have resolved the issue.

We’re here to assist! If the issue remains unresolved after these steps, let us know so we can investigate further. Thank you for your patience! 🚀
