CHDMan has been updated to create parent child CHDs which can have massive space savings.
Would be cool to have that feature supported.

I think this is already supported if you mean creating Parent child CHDs

This feature was only recently added to CHDMan as far as I know, around October or so. They referred to it as a "Delta".
Upon closer looking of it, it looks like a child of a child or something like that. mamedev/mame@d1172bf
