Proposal

Domains should have expiry dates, like .eth domains have. ie. a renewal fee system.

Why should this be the case?

To prevent scalpers from squatting all domains. No one serious is going to use a hastily built service when a better alternative (.eth) exists, expect maybe if you want specific TLDs that arent available elsewhere.

For unstoppable domains to go from an esoteric memecoin project (like dogecoin) to a serious project eith mainstream adoption (like bitcoin, eth etc.) domains have to be future-proof.

Maybe they're in it for quick profits without caring about the future. That's fair enough - nothing wrong with that approach.

But there could be more to it. The one-time fee might just be a marketing play. They could be building towards something bigger - a multi-chain wallet, messaging platform ... who knows? Without them being explicit about their plans, we're left guessing.

Sure, their app and browser plugin hint at broader ambitions. But their blog and marketing mainly just keeps announcing 'new' 'fancy' TLD domains, and their app and plugin onboarding experience is pretty basic and clunky. So it's hard to tell where they're really headed.

As an Unstoppable domain user and fan who is building a .limo service for Unstoppable domains, I'm really hoping they'll aim higher than just quick and small profits. Focus on building something great, and great achievements - not just money - will naturally follow.
