Adding a custom field to the login page

When a user arrives at the login page of W, the available fields are what we expect :

Though, I'd argue that in many cases, some context could go a long way. For example: is there a way to request a new account? What is this place? Maybe I already have an account and I could know about it with a hint... So many possibilities!

I guess that this custom field to give some context should be able to render anchor elements, maybe also other things? What do you think?

Maybe I'll do something simpler: a help button. It could accept a W page id with fragment or any URL.
