Cannot connect to MariaDB with standard compose file #955

When using the original docker-compose.yml I got the this error

An exception occurred in driver: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1130] Host '172.19.0.4' is not allowed to connect to this MariaDB server

I was able to solve it using

database:
...
   environment:
...
      MYSQL_ROOT_HOST: "%"
