Bug: external display resuming from sleep

Paid user here.
I had a bug that caused me to lose all my work. So:
External monitor connected, disabled internal monitor via betterdisplay.
While sleeping: disconnected the external monitor and left home with the laptop.

Once resuming work: the external monitor was disabled and there was no way to reenable it (no keyboard option either, maybe there should be a panic button preassigned just for this situation... Had to force reboot)

Hmm. Normally if no display is detected, the app will attempt to reconnect all displays - except if it is explicitly disabled under Settings/Display/Overview/Connection management settings.

There is a keyboard shortcut to connect all displays, but it is indeed not predefined. I wanted to add a general reset button - updated the relevant enhancement with this now:

I agree with the first sentence, and I think a general reset button would not help. I configured a keyboard shortcut for "Connect All Displays" and it did not appear to work for me.

Another paid user here. I also ran into this issue multiple times, and I can almost reliably reproduce it. Writing down some preliminary thoughts here.

I still need to do some more testing, but here are a few things I have observed:

• When this issue is happening, the proximate cause is that the internal display seems to completely disappear from BetterDisplay's monitor list, in addition to macOS's.
• I think the issue started to appear after I started using Amphetamine to keep the computer even when the lid is closed and there is no power connected. I will spent a few days without using Amphetamine before I can be confident about this.
