Further to discussions #2742 (reply in thread), it would be helpful to:

  1. Know if EDR/HDR/XDR mode is currently active on a display
  2. Provide encouragement to the OS to Enable, Disable, or leave EDR as the OS default.

The app can't disable/prevent EDR mode but can show it's current state and trigger EDR mode.
