errors from influxdb on this dashboard

By no means am I an expert Grafana or Influx user, but I have most of my systems reporting operational data to Influx and I have Grafana dashboards for them. I recently added a Synology NAS to my network and would like to have a dahsboard for it.

I imported this dashboard from the Grafana repository: https://grafana.com/grafana/dashboards/20235

and found that it doesn't work. If I edit the dashboard, I discover that every query in the dashboard fails with this message:

InfluxDB returned error: &{0x61ec800 0xc003c55920 0x62673c0}

which makes is seem like something is quite wrong with Influx, but I can't find any matching messages in the Influx logs. And other dashboards I have work just fine, so the problem must be something in this dashboard that's not quite working with Influx.

How can I diagnose this issue?
