I can't find a big difference compared to vim.desktop. Currently I've to assume that this is caused by the Cinnamon DE opening BTW (seems my assumption is right)... |

Thanks a lot for the helpful links I installed neovim and launched it from the shortcut in the menu, it behaves the same as Micro, that is, it opens in gnome-terminal [Desktop Entry]
Name=Neovim
GenericName=Text Editor
Comment=Edit text files
TryExec=nvim
Exec=nvim %F
Terminal=true
Type=Application
Keywords=Text;editor;
Icon=nvim
Categories=Utility;TextEditor;
StartupNotify=false
MimeType=text/english;text/plain;text/x-makefile;text/x-c++hdr;text/x-c++src;text/x-chdr;text/x-csrc;text/x-java;text/x-moc;text/x-pascal;text/x-tcl;text/x-tex;application/x-shellscript;text/x-c;text/x-c++; I didn't mention “default-applications” earlier because when you select “Preferred Applications” they are automatically set. I also found this message in dconf: According to this message, the problem is much deeper than I initially thought. And I don't have the strength to figure it out. So the only solution that works in my case is to completely remove gnome-terminal |

I am using Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon with Alacritty terminal installed. In "Preferred Applications" I selected Alacritty as the default app for the terminal.
Also in "update-alternatives" I selected Alacritty as the default app for
x-terminal-emulator
In all places where I call the terminal, Alacritty opens, for example, by the hotkey "Crtl+Alt+T" or in the file manager "Open in Terminal"
But when I launch Micro via the shortcut from the menu, the editor opens in Gnome-terminal. What should I do to make Micro open in the terminal by default(Alacritty)?
Example of a menu shortcut:
