This milestone relates to the seed dispersal option from STEPWAT2. Priority for seed dispersal is given to simulation seed dispersal. Initialization with seed dispersal is on the back burner for now until we decide if we actually want to keep it.

Seed dispersal is non-functional currently. It is unclear if seed dispersal ever worked, because judging by the current functions there are major bugs and redundancies.

• Update 2/12/20: We have decided that seed dispersal initialization is unnecessary. Instead a colonization module has been created to allow establishment of species any year during the simulation.
