The Cone Snail

The cone snail is a venomous predatory sea snail, existing in warm and tropical seas and oceans worldwide.

Cone Snail Venom

Cone snail venoms are predominantly peptides, which consist of many different toxins, conotoxins, that vary in their effects.

The study of cone snail venom is currently of great scientific interest, due to its potential as a source of new, medically significant substances.
