Curated Beard Collection
This is a list of beards known to, or created by us, that are hosted on github.
You send the bot a config file with your location, favourite news sites and, if you commute by train in the UK, your departure and destination stations and with one command, Skybeard will send you a personalised webpage with the weather forecast, news headlines and live train statuses.
This beard uses the lsa summarization algorithm to summarize a webpage into (by default) five sentences, in order of importance.
It will either attempt to summarize the last webpage that was sent in that chat, or the webpage you have given as an argument for the command.
e.g
/tldr summarizes the last webpage sent by a member of the chat
/tldr http://www.example.com will attempt to give you a summary from the webpage http://www.example.com
Create and manage group events. Inline buttons are used to create customizable pre-defined event types and allow users to specify that they are attending, or ready for the event to begin.
Uses the W.I.L.L personal assistant API (https://willbeddow.com/) to answer your questions. Answers questions that start with "skybeard, ". This trigger word is customizable to whatever you name you bot
If your bot is hosted on a digital ocean droplet, this allows you to get your droplet IP (if you're a bot admin). Digital Ocean recently extended their web API, so more features will be added soon
Track personal and ship stats in World of Warships
Track steam and game news as well as your stats in Dota 2 and Overwatch. (Soon to be factored out into two beards)
Uses sentiment analysis to track the emotional trends of your chat. See your "sentiment distribution" and a comparison of the average sentiment of each chat participant.
Get a random post from any subreddit with "skybeard, show me x" where x is the name of the subreddit
Reminds you to go to the gym. Can check in to your gym using the location send feature on telegram. Skybeard won't forget how long it was since you last went to the gym, and might treat you differently if you haven't been in a while...
After one of the Skybeard developers went and got a baby, we thought it would be useful to have Skybeard remind him when it's feeding time!
