IVIL is short for Intermediate Vulnerability Information Language. IVIL is an XML Language that is aimed at expressing the minimal information that need to be transferred from one tool to the other.
The main advantage for having a common language to express vulnerability information is that tools that use IVIL for their input and/or output can immediately interface with other tools that input and/or output IVIL.
IVIL was originally described on 18 October 2010 in this CupFighter.net post post after a Skype converstation between Zate Berg and Frank Breedijk.
The current version of the standard is IVIL 0.2
There is an archive for older versions.
