The owner's manual for the Fender Level Set Buffer lists it as 4.9". Are you measuring the actual pedal at 5.4"?

In that case, better just leave the dimensions as they were, since there needs to be an extra allowance for the power jack/switch at the top. 2.95" x 5" was the original measurement.
