Decentralised AI
We, the community of developers, users, and believers in the democratization of AI, hereby establish this Constitution to govern the development, use, and evolution of our decentralized AI platform, aiming for transparency, equity, and innovation.
- Open Source Commitment: All code, documentation, and AI models developed within this project will be released under the [License, e.g., MIT or GPL], ensuring free access, modification, and distribution.
- Decentralization: The project aims to minimize centralized control over AI, promoting a peer-to-peer network where contributors and users have governance rights.
- Privacy: Respect for user and contributor privacy is paramount, with data handling practices that prioritize anonymity and security.
- Inclusivity: We encourage participation from all backgrounds, ensuring the project benefits from diverse perspectives.
-
Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO): The project will be governed by a DAO where decisions are made through community voting. Token holders or contributors can propose changes or vote on:
- Project direction
- Feature implementation
- Funding allocation
- Ethical guidelines
-
Voting Mechanism: Voting rights are tied to contributions (code, data, etc.) or token ownership. A simple majority may suffice for most decisions, with critical changes requiring a supermajority (e.g., 2/3).
-
Transparency: All decisions, votes, and funding allocations are recorded on the blockchain for transparency.
-
Code of Conduct: All contributors must adhere to a community-agreed code of conduct emphasizing respect, inclusivity, and constructive criticism.
-
Contribution Guidelines:
- Pull Requests: Must be reviewed by at least two maintainers unless otherwise specified by DAO vote.
- Bugs and Issues: Reporting and fixing bugs are community responsibilities, with incentives for significant contributions.
-
Release Management: Regular releases based on community consensus, with emergency patches voted upon if necessary.
- Ownership: Contributions are owned by their authors but under the project's open-source license, meaning the project has the right to use, modify, and distribute.
- Patents: Contributors agree not to assert patent rights against the project or other contributors for contributions made to the project.
-
Funding Model:
- Grants: Proposals for funding can be made through the DAO.
- Tokenomics: If applicable, the project might issue tokens for governance, funding, or incentivizing contributions.
-
Revenue Sharing: Any profits or fees generated by the platform will be redistributed according to DAO decisions, potentially supporting further development or community initiatives.
Article VI: Conflict Resolution
- Dispute Mechanism: Disputes will be resolved through community mediation or, if necessary, through a vote in the DAO.
- Forking: In case of irreconcilable differences, the project acknowledges the right to fork, but encourages dialogue and compromise first.
Article VII: Amendments
- Amending this Constitution: Any part of this document can be amended by a vote of the DAO, with amendments requiring a supermajority to pass.
Article VIII: Dissolution
- Project Continuation: The project is intended to be perpetual, but should continuation become untenable, assets, including any funds or intellectual property, will be managed or distributed per the last DAO vote.
This constitution serves as a living document, guiding the project towards its goals while maintaining flexibility for adaptation.
