Ethical Issues
Are users' privacy expectations met by your software? Could the use of your software result in racial, gender, religious, or any other type of discrimination? How does your software try to mitigate this problem? Can your software by abused by some users to cause harm to other users? or to the public at large? How do you mitigate it?
Our user's privacy expectations potentially could not be met by our software. Our software could potentially lead to discrimination in an unthought of way, specifically by people refusing to deliver food to certain people based off of their profile. To mitigate this we can place a deliverer under review if there are repeated instances of malpractice. Our software could be abused by users to cause harm to other users based on location sharing. We will attempt to mitigate this by doing background checks on our drivers and encouraging people ordering to stay in campus buildings so there will be a camera on them while the drop off is happening.
