Release v1.1: Fixed OS Version Detection

Changes in this release:

  • OS Detection Fixed: Fixed OS version detection logic to accurately differentiate between various Windows versions, including Windows 8, 8.1, 10, and 11.
  • .NET Framework Target Update: Upgraded the target framework from .NET Framework 3.5 to .NET Framework 4.6. This change ensures compatibility with Windows 10 versions 1507 and 1511, as well as resolving issues related to since Windows 8’s default .NET 3.5 feature being disabled.

Key Updates:

  • Enhanced Compatibility: The application now runs perfectly on systems with .NET Framework 4.6, broadening its compatibility with a wider range of Windows versions.
  • Accurate Version Detection: Fixed issues where modified or updated Windows 10 systems were incorrectly identified, ensuring more reliable application behavior.
  • No more .NET 3.5 with Feature on Demond: Improved support for Windows 8 and later by addressing the disabled .NET 3.5 feature and upgrading to a supported framework version.

Notes:

  • Users running older versions of Windows 10 (1507 and 1511) will experience improved stability and compatibility.
  • The application now correctly identifies and responds to Windows 11 systems, ensuring full functionality.

Known Issues

  • Some people reported it doesn't work/buggy on Windows 11 so NOT RECOMMENDED.
  • You have to press Reboot required/Logoff required after 3 seconds or the system will break.
