[New Steam Beta] drop-down menus don't show/work (XMonad)

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Note: I do use XMonad as my window manager, but the old Steam Beta worked just fine.

The drop-down menus/buttons "Steam", "View", "Friends", "Games", "Help", "Store", "Library", "Community", "$USERNAME" do not show/do anything on mouseover or click.

Here you can see me hovering and spamming left click as fast and as slow as I can:
