MVP List

WhateverNote, an Evernote clone, is an application that allows the user to save notes inside of notebooks with specific tags and the using Rich-text editing.

1. Hosting on Heroku

1 day - 09/21/20

2. Login, new account creation, and demo login

1 day - 09/22/20

  • Users can create a new account, sign in to an existing account, and logout
  • Users can log in to a demo account to look around
  • Users can only see the landing page without creating an account

3. Notes

2 days - 09/23/20 - 09/24/20

  • Users can create notes
  • Notes are displayed in a list component, with title and a 40 character preview of the note
  • Users can open/edit notes from the list component in a side view component
  • Users can delete notes from the list component and/or edit component
  • Notes must belong to a notebook

4. Notebooks

2 days - 09/25/20 - 09/28/20

  • Users can create notebooks to store notes in.
  • Users can update the name of notebooks
  • Users can delete notebooks
  • Notebooks will be displayed in an index component,
    • Each notebook will have a drop-down that lists the notes it contains
    • Clicking the notebook will display the notes index for that notebook
    • Clicking a note from the dropdown will open it in the editor
  • Users can create a new notebook or change the notebook for a note from the note editor

5. Tags

1 day - 09/29/20

  • Users can create tags
  • Users can delete tags
  • Users can rename tags
  • Users can add tags to their notes
  • Users can find all notes with a specific tag from the Tabs bar

6. Rich-text editing

3 days - 09/30/20 - 10/02/20

  • Users can edit their notes using rich-text editing
  • Users can upload attachments to their notes

7. Production ReadMe

1/2 day - 10/02/20

Extra/Tentative MVPs

User Profile

  • Users will be able to view their profile and edit information such as first and last name and icon.

Autosave

  • Notes save automatically as the user types input

Search

  • Users can search for notes based on the title

Reminders

  • Users can create reminders with a due date
