Aritx uses connmand to facilitate network connections, we have switched that out for networkmanager. Earlier we used to remove networkmanager on completion to keep close to the aim of the project however from user feedback it can be seen that network is quite essential on boot so I have decided to keep it for now, to remove it just add network-manager-yourinit to /etc/calamares/modules/packages.conf try remove section.
