Collating Workflows
The Biocode Plugin contains several views allowing you to coallate information in workflows to keep track of lab progress, and to quickly spot problems and devise solutions. To see the summary views, select two or more workflow documents in your search results.
The biocode plugin allows advanced searching to give you the power to find the workflows you need. Enter your search parameters, and make sure that only the workflow search checkbox is checked. For example, you could search for all workflows for a particular taxonomy, or all workflows worked on between given dates. See the Searching documentation for a full overview of searching.
fig: The primer overview
Each of these summary table views allows you to display fields from your FIMS alongside the primer data. Just right click on the table header to see what fields you can choose from. Your most recent selection of fields will be remembered.
This view shows you the most recent PCR and sequencing reactions, and the primers tried for each direction. It gives you a quick overview of the passed or failed status of the most recent reactions for each workflow, as well as what primers were tried.
fig: The Locus overview
This view shows PCR and Sequencing information like the Primer Overview, but displays it in a locus-centric manner, with each locus being given its own column in the view. This is the most useful summary for labs doing multi-loci analysis, as it quickly allows you to see which loci have been sequenced, and if there are any problems.
This view shows you every PCR primer tried for the selected workflows, and the passed or failed status of the reactions. Passed reactions are displayed in green, and failed reactions are displayed in red. Reactions that have not yet been run are displayed in black.

All summary views are fully exportable as excel worksheets. (See Export).
