Character usage to HA #97
Comments
Dito. This is a great component, but when it fails, it just seems to fail silently (i.e no issue in HA). Would it be possible to get some sort of feedback system or error raising when out of credits? e.g we could have an automation that switches back to another TTS service when ElevenLabs is out of credits - then reverts back to ElevenLabs once the next billing cycle starts / or account has been upgraded with more credits. |
Hi, apologies for the very slow response. I've been traveling full-time since November, and so I don't currently use HA and have little time to contribute to this project. My focus at this time is simply to "keep the lights on" so to speak. However, if anybody would like to add this feature and submit a PR, I'll be happy to merge it in. Also, there is currently progress towards making an official elevenlabs integration for HA here, once it's added this custom integration will be deprecated and focus will move to improving the official integration. |
Hi! I opened a PR for something like this in the ElevenLabs integration in HA now. In case this is something you are still interested in, I would be happy to have your thoughts about the exact implementation (i.e. whether Sensors are the best choice, and what time windows to support). home-assistant/core#133240 |
