Typically elasticsearch is split up among 3-5 (or more) nodes, with 2-3 immutable cif-router instances in front (but behind some kind of load balancer) and a less immutable csirtg-smrt instance off to the side (inserting data through the cif-router load balancer).

ES Nodes

  • ~4 nodes (3-data 1-2 masters)
  • 2-4GB Memory (each)
  • 2-4 Cores (x86_64) (each)
  • 50GB Hard Drive Space (each)

Routers

  • 2-4GB Memory (each)
  • 2-4 Cores (x86_64) (each)
  • 10GB Hard Drive Space (each)
