Statement of Rights

There is a possibility that at some point this will become something that will become commercially viable or will at least generate enough interest that some of the contributors may make personal investments or the existence of this game may become financially beneficial for someone. At such a point, but hopefully before, all active contributors who are able to discuss will set rules and shares for this idea and the work and time put into it. It is not expected to be the case that a fair split will be based on volume of contributions to code or recorded discussions or that all active members will receive a similar "cut."

For the sake of simplicity, contribution to this project acknowledges that all the original IP belongs to the project owner (Patrick Cuba) and all contributions become a piece of this original work. Without express written notice, no unique or characteristic contributions made to this project may be reused for any commercial purpose elsewhere by anyone. Any disputes will be settled and matters decided at the absolute whim of the project owner without recourse. While the project owner intends to be fair and charitable in this fun endeavor, it is also the case that asserting that this document legally covers all people who contribute to this project is likely to be tested in court if it ever becomes relevant.
