For versions of meson before 1.1, this file was called meson_options.txt

So we need to require 1.1. Currently 0.60 is required.

So we need to require [Meson] 1.1

If x-d-p is expected to be backported into oldLTS distributions like Flatpak is, then this seems rather optimistic. For example we'd need Ubuntu 24.04+ (22.04 is too old), Debian 13+ (not yet released or even frozen, but 12 is slightly too old), or as far as I can see, no released member of the RHEL/CentOS family at all.

Yup, I read the docs and thought 1.1 is a really old version but it turns out to be rather recent so I'll leave it as draft.
