Assembly Guide for DIY Project

Step 1: Diode Installation

• Procedure: Begin with the front side of the PCB. Carefully place the diode, ensuring it is oriented correctly.

Step 2: Soldering Resistors and Transistors

• Components: Resistors, Transistors (78L09, 79L09, BC547)
• Procedure: Start by soldering the resistors, followed by the transistors. Note: The R49 resistor, located to the left of VR8, should be 510 ohms, not 510k ohms. This was a mistake in the CAD drawing.

Step 3: Capacitor Installation (Special Attention to C9)

• Note: If using a large capacitor as shown in the image, solder IC sockets first to leave room for the soldering iron.
• Procedure: Install the capacitor with careful attention to its orientation and size.

Step 4: Completing the Back Side and Connectors

• Important Reminder: Please read the "Troubleshooting & More Mods" page before soldering larger parts.
• Procedure: After finishing the capacitor and header on the back side, proceed to solder the potentiometers, switches, and jacks. Ensure these are mounted on the panel; failing to do so might prevent the panel from being mounted correctly with the PCB.
