bacon is pretty good lib, I want it to stay fresh.

I like it too. Could we somehow get the latest changes published as a new version of the gem? I was just fixing another gem to work with frozen string literals, and it uses bacon for its tests. I had to first fix bacon, but I see those fixes have already been written and merged before (#33), just not published to RubyGems.
