Tutorial 2.2: Creating new robot faces
All the robot faces that users have designed are shown here. Clicking on any of them will render them slightly larger below in the card titled "Face Preview" but they are not directly editable here. To edit a face from this row, you can click the green button "Add selected robot to my faces". This will make a copy of the face and save it to your faces (Stored in the database and associated with your computer). Any faces that you save will be viewable/copyable by other users.
All the faces that you have created/copied/edited will show up in this row. To make a new face, you'll need to make a copy of a pre-existing face and edit it. Any changes that you make in the face editor will be saved automatically, so there's no need to save when you're done editing. Clicking the "x" button near a face in your faces will remove it from the database and it won't be visible to other users.
Clicking a face that you have copied/created will enable the "Face parameters" card. Here you can change any of the facial features of the selected face. Any adjusting of the sliders or other options will automatically save the changes to the database. The easiest way to make changes is to move the sliders, but the bounds on the sliders can be adjusted to make more specific changes to the face. The color selectors take rbg/hex/hsl input to several facial features, and there are some boolean input fields as well. In order to show text on the face, the "Has text" field must be enabled. If you try and set the text on a face with this field disabled, the text will not render.
The face preview will show the currently selected face regardless of ownership. If you own the selected face, you can update the face's name here.
