The following figure shows a typical example how to explain the correct diagnosis with images and text in a grayscale picture.

The Answer picture can be monochrome, grayscaled or colored. For best results it should be in PNG format with a size of 960x640 pixels.

The Answer picture is scrambled with Javascript before embedding it into a DICOM instance. This prevents the RadioLogicTutor user to commit fraud in the test by viewing the Answer image with the DICOM-viewer inside the RadioLogicArchive. The next figure shows the scrambled picture:

The Javascript image scrambler has been developed and published by Juan Pablo Carzolio four years ago. The code is available at his GitHub repository jpcarzolio/img-scrambler.

The correct diagnosis is also inserted in scrambled form as a private tag into the Answer DICOM file. Another private tag shows the author of the clinical RadioLogic case.

You surely remember that the scramble key is saved inside the Observation DICOM instance.

In the next chapter (DICOM template) we will explore how the Observation and Answer DICOM instances are stored inside the RadioLogicArchive.
