Update Android Gradle Plugin and unit tests

Problem:
Android Gradle is one major version behind, causing issues for Jetpack Compose. Additionally, unit tests are no longer building due to changes in method signatures.

Solution:
Updated Android Gradle and all related configurations. Created a mock identity holder for testing purposes.

Validation:
It builds. Unit tests are still failing.

• High – Errors could cause MAJOR regression of many scenarios. (Example: new large features or high level infrastructure changes)

• Small – No issues are expected. (Example: Very small bug fixes, string changes, or configuration settings changes)
